Ban Ki-Moon, UN Secretary General, has launched a crisis summit in New York in September. Shouldn’t we all stop hearing ‘told you so‘and walking about asleep ?
2) David’s work isn’t message based first but reaches toward uniting myth and science, the wonder, in rich animal fiction. Perhaps we can only understand it by understanding the amazement and struggle of life on earth, including us. The story behind Light of the White Bear is one of astonishment too.
3) There is NO WAY close friends and a New York publisher should be allowed to get away with what they did to a human being, published novels and a contracted, leading author. In the end it was the system at work in its more cynical form and a writer, fans and working conditions did not matter a damn.
