BACK IN THE SADDLE

Back in the saddle, and another week of the Phoenix ‘Story So Far’. A third free installment of Dragon Post is coming this week, but the founder also stayed in a wonderful house this weekend, that would inspire any author. Siegfried Sassoon wrote Dairy of A Fox Hunting Man there, although I still think Wilfred Owen the greater poet. But TE Lawrence, Lawrence of Arabia, lived there for a while, and set off on his fated last bike journey, while Dennis Wheatley also visited and wrote The Devil Rides Out, in the main room! Nowadays that causes a shiver, a sneeze, and a bless you, but it’s the best storytellers’ company.
